Steve Yang

Hello, my name is Steve Yang and my journey to becoming an insurance agent in Sugar Land began when my family immigrated from Taiwan in 1980, making me an almost native Houstonian. I grew up in Kingwood, graduating from Kingwood High School, before heading to The University of Texas in Austin. There, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1990 and was a proud founding member of Lambda Phi Epsilon, the first Asian fraternity in the state of Texas. My roots run deep in the community; I live in Richmond now and am a die-hard UT fan who bleeds burnt orange. I also passionately support all Houston major sports franchises, attending games every year. At home, I am married to my wonderful wife, Vicki, who is truly the "Yin" to my "Yang" as we work together as a team at Steve Yang State Farm. Our beloved Shih-tzu, Max, is like a son to us and even comes to work with us daily. Outside of the office, Vicki and I love outdoor activities like golf, hiking, and biking, but our greatest passion is traveling, especially road trips, and exploring different cultures through their exciting foods.

Professionally, I have dedicated myself to the insurance and financial services industry since 1998, a journey that led me to open my State Farm agency in Sugar Land in 2013.
